STREET SWEEPING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q:  Why does the City have Street Sweeping?
A: This service strives to ensure that all City-approved arterial, residential, industrial and alley roadways are kept clean. Maintaining clean streets keeps the City of Eastvale beautiful and complies with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements.

Q:  Why do I need to move my car?
A: Moving vehicles off a street scheduled for sweeping allows crews to thoroughly clean the street from curb-to-curb. Parked cars creates an obstruction to where the street can’t be swept. This can result in debris building up on the roadway and entering the storm drain which can cause flooding during heavy rains and contribute to water pollution.

Q:  Will I get a ticket or citation if I don't move my car?
A: Yes. Street parking is prohibited during the days and times identified on the street sweeping sign posted at the main entrance(s) to each development. The “No Parking Zone” is enforceable during the block of time identified on the posted sign, regardless of the location of the street sweeper on the scheduled route.

Q:  Who do I contact with questions regarding my citation?
A: For all inquires related to your street sweeping ticket, please contact the Citation Processing Center at www.CitationProcessingCenter.com or call (800) 989-2058. Please note that once the issued, the City of Eastvale staff does not process, receive payment or handle appeals.

Q:  If it raining, is there still street sweeping?
A: Yes! Street sweeping does take place if it is raining, this way the sweeper can capture as much floating debris as possible.  Please remember that street sweeping parking enforcement will also be enforced.
