In February 2023, the City of Eastvale hosted a Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Workshop that included the City Council, City Management, City Staff, and public input. The purpose of this workshop was to assist the City Council and City Management in developing a plan that includes clearly defined targets and goals in order to provide the Eastvale Team with clear direction and prioritization.

On May 10, 2023 the City Council adopted the Strategic Plan & Priority Goals. 

During the workshop, a group voting process was utilized for the Mayor and Council Members to identify the key priorities, and to provide for stratification of the goals into three levels which are:

• Level 1 – includes the selection of two (2) first level priority goals each for the Mayor and City Council.  A total of six (6) level 1 goals were identified.  
• Level 2 – includes the selection of two (2) second level priority goals each for the Mayor and City Council.  A total of two (2) level 2 goals were identified.
• Level 3 –includes the selection of two (2) third level priority goals each for the Mayor and City Council.  A total of five (5) level 3 goals were identified.

Together, we continue serving the community to the best of our abilities and working on projects. We will be keeping these priority goals in mind so that as a team, we can ensure we are working towards accomplishing these priority goals. Each quarter, we will be updating City Council on progress towards accomplishing these fourteen priority goals.

It should be noted that this is a dynamic and living document and may shift or be added to as new challenges or opportunities present themselves or are identified by City Council or recommended by Commissioners, staff, and the community.
