As of January 2013, the State of California permits an enterprise at a private home to prepare and package low-risk food products for sale to consumers. This seminar will offer a discussion on the steps required to become a Cottage Food Operation (CFO) in the County of San Bernardino. In addition, learn general food safety techniques including preparing a clean workstation and requirements for packaging homemade food products. Seminar topics include:
- Permits and Certifications required to operate as a CFO
- Food categories permitted under the law
- Operational and Food Labeling requirements
