Purpose
The Eastvale Watershed Protection Program aims to educate residents and businesses about stormwater pollution, watershed protection, and regulatory compliance. As a partner listed on the Riverside County Flood Control (RCFC) website, we encourage you to explore their resources at RCFC Watershed.
The City of Eastvale uses a combination of public education, best management practices, and water quality monitoring to eliminate stormwater pollution and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Our goal is to empower residents with information on pollution prevention and to implement strategies that keep our watersheds clean.
This program is essential due to regulations set forth by the Federal Clean Water Act requires that large urbanized areas have a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to prevent harmful pollutants from being dumped or washed by stormwater runoff into the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s) and then discharged into local water bodies.
