In December of 2020, Michael Rochelle was appointed to the Eastvale Planning Commission. He and his son, Micah, moved to Eastvale in 2010.

Rochelle currently works as the Vice President of Computer Software Architecture for J2 Innovations where he designs embedded software for building automation systems. He has experience developing the full stack from storage, server, embedded, to client and mobile software. At J2, he has led a development team where they developed a state-of-the-art platform for automation control, energy reporting, demand response, and much more. In 2018, He sold his company to Siemens Building Technologies. Rochelle has built marketing applications, web applications, social networks, integration tools, and more in the past. His background brings a technical aspect to the Eastvale Planning Commission.

From 2015 to 2018, Rochelle served 3 years on the CNUSD Measure GG Oversight Committee. In 2019, he graduated from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Academy as the top 4th recruit and was awarded the Top Report Writing Award at graduation.

Michael Rochelle participates annually in his high school’s career day event. In 2003, he worked with the US DoJ’s Weed and Seed program in the City of Compton where he implemented programs that positively affected the behavior of insubordinate children who were suffering from neglect and extreme poverty.
