National Preparedness Month: Plan to Help Your Neighbors and Community
National Preparedness Month
Week 2: Plan to Help Your Neighbor and Community
After a major disaster or emergency, you may find yourself without help for quite some time. First responders such as fire and medical services may not be able to meet demands right away due to unforeseen circumstances. You, your neighbors, and the community may need to rely on each other for help. In order to do so, the proper training is highly recommended.
Join a local CERT Program that will help you prepare and train for basic disaster response skills. CERT is the Community Emergency Response Team Program that educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in disaster response skills, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
The City of Eastvale will have a FREE CERT Training Class: October 13-15, 2017.
